Changes in F.B. Purity v34.5.0
- Fixed the automatic hiding of Sponsored Posts
- Fixed the Hide “Shortcuts Section” Left Column Link option
This release fixes the automatic hiding of Sponsored Posts in the Newsfeed if you have the hide “Sponsored Box / Posts” option turned on, which it is by default when you first install FBP.
As the Hide Sponsored Posts option is fixed, you shouldn’t have to use the “Zap the ads” function any more, but I have kept the Zap functionality, in case Facebook change something, as it should still work in theory as a backup method for hiding the ads if they come back again.
This release also fixes the Hide “Shortcuts Section” left column link option, so if you suddenly notice your shortcuts section has gone missing, it just means you must have ticked the hide option for it at some point in the past. To get the shortcuts back, just un-tick the option (located in the “Left Column Links” section of the FBP options screen)
P.S I am aware the version number listed on the FBP website has not been updated, I am waiting for all versions to be available before I do that.
If you are using the Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Opera extension versions of FBP, your extension will autoupdate at some point, if it hasn’t you should be able to update it via your browser’s extensions management page.
If you are using the GM Script version of FBP and it hasn’t yet autoupdated you can update it by clicking the install fbp script link at install.fbpurity.com then follow the instructions to update the script.

Suddenly today, out of the blue, FB purity has started hiding my entire timeline. I haven’t changed a single setting, but my whole timeline is gone. Have had to disable the extension until this gets sorted.
that should be fixed in the latest release of fbp.
