Facebook have been trying to cover up a major user data leak, they are brushing it off, by saying the data was obtained by “scraping” publically available data from the facebook site. But that doesnt ring true, as the person selling them said they got them via a Facebook Application, and Facebook Applications can access users email addresses, via Facebook’s dodgy permissions request panel.
