How to remove the Trending Topics box on Facebook
For people who are not interested in what random celebrities are up to, and want to get rid of it. Theres a huge number of Facebook users who are protesting about this annoying extra clutter and just want it gone.

**Update** Its even easier to hide the Trending Topics box now!
FB Purity now adds an “X” button at the top right of the “Trending” box, so if you want to hide the trending box you now just need to click the “X” button. Simples! 
I tried to put a link to this page on FB for others who are annoyed by the “trending” issue and FB blocked me!!

I’ve ticked the hide trending box on Purity but it’s still there. I understand FB has to generate income somewhere but it completely blocks all but one of my ticker entries, so annoying.
You might have the wrong box ticked, the box you need to tick is titled “Trending Topics” and is beneath the “More Options” heading on the FBP options screen.
You also need to make sure you have the latest version of FBP installed (v9.6.0)

Sorry but Trending is still there on the RHS of my Home page.
I have Hide Trending Topics & Articles and Trending Topics hidden but it isn’t working. I am using Firefox and FB Urity 12.7.
Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
facebook might be testing new code on you, the hide trending topics option still works for me.
